Boston Scientific at EuroPCR!

We are delighted to have a presence once clinical trial program will resume. again at EuroPCR! The 12 months since EuroPCR'08 has been exciting for Boston Scientific. The launch of Taxus™ Liberté™ in Japan was a major success and enabled us to sustain market leadership. The primary end of point of the SYNTAX trial, supported by our company was presented at the ESC meeting last August. This trial is a landmark trial advancing medical science and treatment options for patients.

In addition, new data releases continue to confirm that Drug-eluting stents (DES) are safe and effective and we have seen a resurgence in DES penetration. With 44% share worldwide, Boston Scientific is leading the DES market. Our two drug portfolio enables our customers to choose strong proven therapies.

At EuroPCR'09 we really want to focus on supporting education and awareness around the SYNTAX Trial and SYNTAX Score but also to make people aware of our innovative product pipeline in DES and beyond.

We also recognise the importance of making a difference in our communities where we work and live. This year we are proud to sponsor a Charity Run and a Tandem Cycle from the UK to Barcelona to support disease prevention and awareness.

Over the next 12 months we plan to launch new DES platforms across our two drug range and focus on our customers' needs. Based on our strong collaboration with physicians and leveraging our extensive R&D capabilities, we are confident that our new platinum-chromium and polymer platform is exactly what is needed in the next generation.

Globally, we are always looking for our customers to partner with us to provide valuable feedback that will allow us to continue to deliver innovations that meet their changing needs. Both our customers and the people at Boston Scientific share the same goal: develop new, reliable and safe technologies that ultimately help improve patient lives. Boston Scientific is truly committed to making more possible, through collaboration, innovation and clinical science.
