1st Charity Run at EuroPCR

As part of their Community Health initiative, Boston Scientific sponsored two charity events at EuroPCR 2009 - a marathon tandem bicycle ride from London to Barcelona and yesterday’s 4km Charity Run in support of the Spanish Heart Foundation. Around 100 runners got up early to raise 6000 € for this deserving local charity, dedicated to education about healthy lifestyles as an effective means of reducing risk factors which lead to heart disease. Fred Hrkac, President EMEA of Boston Scientific handed over a cheque to Doctor José María Cruz Fernández, Vice-President of the Fundación del Corazón, at a special booth donation ceremony Wednesday afternoon… "I am proud to support local charity efforts such as this and to see how many people voluntarily got up early to run with us today!" said Mr Hrkac.
