EUROPCR SURGERY PROGRAMME
19th-22nd May, 2009 / Barcelona, Spain

Over the past three years, EuroPCR, in close collaboration with EACTS and the Working group of Cardiovascular Surgery of the ESC has worked to strengthen the ties between surgeons and interventional cardiologists.

EuroPCR 2008 proved that open debate and discussion, in a positive and constructive fashion is possible, and it was a real pleasure to be involved in sessions - where we tried, and often succeeded in reaching a consensus together.
Free access to a selection of videos: see below

Our knowledge and skills are the base on which we build our daily practice, and today we see that many of the techniques particular to both specialties are now merging - inviting both cardiologists and surgeons to share their experience and expertise across the artificial boundaries of disciplines.

We must find a common language, a way to interact, a new environment of consensus, where the common objective is the identification of the best treatment option for each individual patient and the passionate development of our medical profession. The technology is there… we simply need to adjust our old habits and behaviour.

We have a unique momentum, with creativity, imagination, electronics, imaging, planning and management… many components that make working together a positive, and logical step forward.

Be a part of the future by playing an active and relevant role in the field of cardiovascular over the next decade.

We personally invite you to attend EuroPCR, from 19th-22nd May, 2009 in Barcelona, and witness the important evolution that is taking place.
