For many years there has been a close cooperation between the departments of Interventional Radiology and Vascular Surgery, especially in the field of endovascular treatment of (acute) abdominal and thoracic aneurysms and carotid stenting. Nowadays, Eramus MC is one of the nations leading center in these fields. More intense cooperation will further strengthen the national and international position of the departments with a high-level patient care, cardiovascular and imaging research and training in search for excellence.
